Gonzalez brings more than a decade of restaurant industry experience to Church’s, including over five years in various leadership roles at Burger King and over four years as head of brand standards and strategy at Restaurant Brands International, according to his LinkedIn profile.
His experience includes franchising, operations, P&L management and global business strategies, the company said in a press release. He also led various global business initiatives and managed large teams of executives at Burger King, Tim Hortons and Popeyes.
In his new role, Gonzalez will “focus on collaboratively driving core business metrics for Church’s Texas Chicken, achieving strong operational results and growth for the iconic brand,” the press statement said.
“Roland is an exceptional leader who understands all aspects of the industry and is joining us with critical skills gleaned from his past roles,” Joe Guith, CEO of Church’s Texas Chicken, said.
Since Guith joined Church’s in August, the company has since added several executives to its C-suite, including CFO and global CMO.
