Name: Suzann Trevisan
New Title: SVP, chief human resources officer, Bloomin’ Brands
Previous Title: VP of human resources and composites, Owens Corning
Trevisan brings 27 years of experience in human resources to this role, in which she will lead the company’s human resources functions, according to a press release announcing her hire on Monday. In her previous role at Owens Corning, which she held for over 12 years, Trevisan oversaw the company’s human resources strategy, organizational optimization and transformation and enterprise leadership, according to her LinkedIn profile. She also worked at marketing technology firm Valassis for over a year and at Borders for 13 years.
Trevisan joins Bloomin’ as it faces labor cost inflation, which neared 10% during the second quarter, CFO Chris Meyer said during Bloomin’s July earnings call. The company has been able to retain its restaurant staff, however, and hasn’t seen as many staffing challenges as other restaurant brands, CEO David Deno said on the call.
Trevisan’s hiring follows just weeks after Bloomin’ expanded its board of directors from nine to 11 with the addition of Julie Kunkel, who worked at Ernst & Young from 2015 until her retirement in 2021, and Melanie Marein-Efron, Urban Outfitters’ CFO.
