Dive Brief:
- Paytronix has upgraded its digital engagement platform with new features meant to help restaurants and convenience retailers streamline their online ordering and user experiences, according to multiple announcements the company made over the past week.
- Upgrades include the Paytronix Assistant, an AI tool that answers retailers’ questions and offers data and reporting guidance; and “additive lead times,” a group of tools meant to help operators manage and process online orders.
- This comes less than a month after Paytronix was acquired by business management software provider The Access Group — a move that’s expected to significantly expand Paytronix’s footprint and evolve its technology solutions.
Dive Insight:
Both of Paytronix’s latest enhancements underscore the company’s goal to help convenience retailers and restaurants grow their loyalty memberships and increase revenue.
Operators can use their Paytronix Portal to ask the Paytronix Assistant questions such as how many members its rewards program has or what its top-selling products are. The tool responds by pulling data from each brand’s account and linking to articles. Paytronix suggests operators use the assistant to build campaign ideas, as well as access visit and spend data, among other use cases.
“This generative AI enables people to ask questions so that they can analyze how their loyalty, ordering, mobile campaigns or gift card programs are performing,” said Aubrey Giasson, product manager at Paytronix. “Brands gain insights to determine the best next steps and establish brand specific best practices.”
Meanwhile, the “additive lead times” let operators set parameters around order- and first-party delivery timing, order limits and capacity management. These tools can also allow customers using first-party ordering to see how long their order will take. The parameters are adjustable on a per store or restaurant basis.
Newton, Massachusetts-based Paytronix has made several other upgrades to its digital engagement programs in recent years, including gamified offers, personalized mobile updates and customized online ordering templates.
