Name: Michael Healy
New title: Chief financial officer and EVP, global business development, Bloomin’ Brands
Previous title: EVP, global business development, Bloomin’ Brands
Bloomin’ Brands named Michael Healy as its CFO effective April 1, according to a form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission this week. Healy replaces Christopher Meyer, who informed Bloomin’ of his intent to retire in February, according to an earlier 8-K.
Healy takes the role after almost 15 years with the company. During that time, Healy rose from director of sales forecasting and analysis to president of the Bonefish Grill brand, a post he held from November 2021 to November 2023, according to the 8-K.
Healy’s tenure as CFO begins at a moment of uneven performance across Bloomin’s brand portfolio. Sales at Bonefish Grill fell 3% last quarter but grew at Carrabba’s Italian Grill by 2.5%. The company’s traffic also fell year over year, and it is closing more than 40 underperforming, primarily older units as it focuses on developing new trade areas.
