Name: Will Cash
New title: Vice president, purchasing, Church’s Texas Chicken
Previous title: Vice president of supply chain and procurement, The Siegel Group
Church’s Texas Chicken hired Will Cash as VP of purchasing to lead the brand’s purchasing and supply chain efforts starting this week, according to a press release issued Tuesday. Cash will report to Randy Lawrence, the brand’s SVP of supply chain and quality assurance.
In his role, Cash will “oversee the company’s purchasing function, leading the organization’s ability to efficiently source ingredients, equipment, and raw materials.” Prior to joining Church’s, Cash served in a similar role at the Siegel Group, a real estate management and invest firm, his LinkedIn shows. Cash also has prior restaurant industry experience, according to Church’s, including supply chain operations stints at Popeyes, Krispy Kreme and Pinkbox Doughnuts.
Supply chain constraints have impacted everything from menu prices to restaurant development timelines since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Chicken chains faced especially sharp supply shocks, prompting Wingstop to seek greater control of its procurement processes last year, while Zaxby’s added a new supply chain officer earlier this month. Executives at other major brands, like Andy Wiederhorn at Fat Brands, have discussed the importance of adapting supply chain procurement processes to continuing disruptions.
