Name: Leigh Burnside
New title: CFO, Little Caesars
Previous title: SVP, chief accounting officer and CFO, U.S., Wendy's
Little Caesars has named Leigh Burnside as CFO, the company announced on Monday. Burnside will preside over the expansion of the company’s accounting team as it seeks to support recent growth, according to the press release. Burnside will work with Allison Bieri, the pizza company’s SVP of accounting.
Burnside replaces Darrell Snygg, who retired last month after 34 years with the chain, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to joining Little Caesars, Burnside worked as chief accounting and financial officer responsible for the U.S. at Wendy’s. She left Wendy’s last month.
Little Caesars has been growing through franchising, leveraging a diverse asset mix and wide array of channels to establish the brand in new markets, the chain’s chief development officer, Jeremy Vitaro, told Restaurant Dive last year. The chain has moved away from its exclusive focus on carryout in recent years, adding third-party delivery just before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down many restaurants. The chain has also been leaning on digital marketing to drive customer engagement, and promoted Greg Hamilton to chief marketing officer in October after Little Caesars became the NFL’s official pizza sponsor in June 2022.
