Lynch has over 25 years of experience in various technology roles, including the more than a year she spent as chief technology officer at Red Robin, according to a Tuesday press release. She also served as the CIO at European Wax Center for three years and was at Jamba for two years, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Her experience includes transforming restaurant, retail and technology brands as well as growing company revenue, improving profitability and enhancing the guest experience. At Red Robin, she oversaw various aspects of technology, and led strategic and operational planning for the company’s technology.
In her new role, which she started in late October, Lynch is tasked with creating a “comprehensive technology strategy” to support Smoothie King’s growth, create seamless guest experiences and improve profitability for franchisees, the company said.
Having an enhanced tech strategy may help the company attract new franchisees and continue profitable growth. Last quarter, the smoothie chain had its highest number of openings in a single quarter in six years, with 28 new stores. It also signed 38 new store commitments across 12 states. The chain opened its 1,200th unit in Texas earlier this month.
