Name: Ray Bodnar
New title: VP of franchise sales and development, Twin Peaks
Previous title: Director of franchise sales, Captain D’s
Twin Peaks has hired Ray Bodnar to lead its franchising efforts, according to a press release emailed to Restaurant Dive Monday. In his role as VP of franchise sales and development, Bodnar will help oversee the 95-unit sports bar’s development efforts.
“We’re excited to hit the 100-restaurant mark this year and turn our focus towards growing our footprint stateside before switching to international growth,” Twin Peaks CEO Joe Hummel said in a press release.
Bodnar brings over 18 years of experience in franchising, enterprise sales and business development to the role, per the press release. According to his LinkedIn profile, Bodnar spent 10 months leading Captain D’s franchising projects. The press release credits Bodnar with scaling Dickey’s Barbecue Pit’s franchised unit count from 502 to 706 stores in the year and five months he led that brand’s franchising efforts. Before entering the restaurant category, Bodnar led franchise sales for Radisson Hotel Group and Wyndham Worldwide, according to LinkedIn.
Twin Peaks’ development pipeline and franchising potential are what attracted Fat Brands to acquire the chain in 2021, Fat Brands CEO Andrew Wiederhorn said at the time. Continued domestic and international growth have been part of Fat’s plans for Twin Peaks since the acquisition.
